In October 2006, the AMCI Mountaineering Club, Inc. inducted 12 new members at the summit of Mt. Binulauan in Tinglayan, Kalinga Province. This 5-day ordeal through primary growth forests with no visible trails other than hunter's tracks is perhaps my most memorable climb to date, due to its high degree of difficulty and several extraneous factors which contribute to it being interesting and far from ordinary.
